WHOOO AM I? My Story...
I, Kami Nelson, am the owner, photographer, artist, and creator behind Beyond Wonderland Creations. In 2019, I discovered the art of wire wrapping as I was searching for a better way to display my acrylic pouring cabochons (a domed focal point) in my jewelry. Needless to say, it all started there, and I fell in love and further down the rabbit hole with the challenge and endless possibilities that wire wrapping, metal clay, and acrylic pouring allowed. These along with many other crafts became an outlet for my creative energy and was the perfect escape from the day to day, a place where I could get curiouser and curiouser. A year later I'm taking the big leap, and once again following the white rabbit, and opening my own shop.
Each item takes from 2 days to a week to complete. All the acrylic pouring artwork and poured cabochons are hand painted. I pride myself in making each piece its own work of art, unique in its own way, and have it tell a story. I take great pride in each of my pieces and crafts and I hope you enjoy my shop! Please remember that Beyond Wonderland Creations is a one woman shop and I do not mass product anything. When you buy a gift or item from me you are buying a piece of my imagination, heart, soul, and a piece of my handcrafted art. They are not perfect, they are unique. Because Alice is polite, well raised, has lots of imagination and she just gets curiouser and curiouser. The Alice in Wonderland book and movie are not easily forgotten. As you can see, I’m very fond of the Alice books, it just resonates with me and my art. My fascination for the story started when I was a little girl and through the years it has grown. Like Alice I love learning and each new thing tends to lead me down another rabbit hole to another form of art and into another world.
